CJC-1295 And CJC-1295 DAC: What’s The Difference?

{While there is a wide range of synthetic peptides, it gets confusing when choosing them. This is especially true when you have to choose between technically two of the same peptide, for example, CJC-1295. CJC-1295 comes in two types: CJC-1295 and CJC-1295 DAC.

The difference between these two peptides is the addition of a “drug affinity complex (DAC)” to the end of the peptide. But that added piece changes the way CJC-1295 works. In this article, we will be discussing the difference between CJC-1295 and CJC-1295 DAC. But first, let’s have a brief overview of DAC.

What Is Drug Affinity Complex (DAC)?

DAC is a short form for drug affinity complex, created by a Canadian biotechnology company called Conju Chem Biotechnologies. Generally, peptides, whether natural or synthetic versions, degrade with the passage of time. The main objective of DAC development was to prevent the degradation of the peptide while keeping the biological activity in the peptide the same.

There are usually three components in DAC: a link attached to the peptide, the peptide itself, and a reactive group attached to the opposite side of the link. When added to the CJC-1295 peptide, DAC tends to slow down the degradation rate of the peptide, thus permitting the body to reap many benefits of the peptide.

What Is CJC-1295?

CJC-1295, usually referred to as “modified growth hormone-releasing factor (1-29), or ModGRF (1-29), is a synthetic analogue of GHRH (growth hormone-releasing hormone). CJC-1295 is made up of 30 amino acids. There are 44 amino acids in the chain structure of endogenously produced GHRH and 29 amino acids in Sermorelin or GRF 1-29, a truncated synthetic form of GHRH.

In Mod GRF (1-29) chain structure, there are four substituted amino acids that not only prevent the degradation and oxidation of the peptide but also increase the binding affinity to the receptors of GHRH.

CJC-1295 shares the same chemical structure as that of GHRH. It upregulates the levels of growth hormone (GH) in the body. Increased GH levels in the body help in building muscle, burning fat, repairing body tissues, and keeping your skin healthy.

What Is CJC-1295 DAC?

Like CJC-1295, CJC-1295 DAC is another synthetic version of your body’s own HGRH, meaning that it encourages an increase in the secretion of growth hormones. Your body gets an increase in growth hormone when you take CJC-1295 with DAC.

The active segments in the GHRH are the first 29 amino acids. These are available as synthetic peptides in the form of Sermorelin. Sermorelin is further modified into a peptide to extend its half-life to 30 minutes, called CJC-1295. Further modification involving the addition of DAC to CJC-1295 increases its half-life up to 8 days.

In addition to increasing plasma growth hormone, CJC-1295 DAC also increases insulin growth factor-1 (IGF-1). IGF-1 exhibits anabolic properties in adults. You might have heard of the term “bioconjugation” – a chemical strategy that forms a stable bond between two molecules. Bioconjugation is an important process that permits CJC-1295 DAC to have an extended half-life.

Mostly, CJC-1295 DAC is used for treating the deficiency of growth hormone. However, the peptide is being used by bodybuilders and fitness enthusiasts for gaining muscle.

The Difference Between CJC-1295 And CJC-1295 DAC:

The following are some differences between CJC-1295 and CJC1295 DAC in terms of their half-life and dosage. Let’s dive in:

1. Difference In Half-Life:

Talking about the body’s own GHRH, it possesses a half-life of just a few minutes. Your body uses CJC-1295 without DAC the same way as it uses GHRH. The half-life of CJC-1295 without DAC is only 30 minutes.

The addition of DAC to CJC-1295 modifies the way your body utilizes the peptide because DAC provides the peptide with a lysine linker. The lysine linker allows the peptide to circulate in the bloodstream without being broken down. Furthermore, DAC provides better binding of the peptide to albumin, allowing the peptide to cause effects for a long time.

The half-life of CJC-1295 DAC in blood plasma is estimated to be about six to eight days.

2. Difference In Dosage:

The dosing of CJC-1295 DAC is also different due to its much longer half-life. The dosing schedule of both types of peptides is as follows:

  • CJC-1295: The saturation dosage for CJC-1295 is 100 mcg per kilogram of body weight. It means that a dose higher than 100 mcg will not cause a much surge in GH levels, thus increasing the risk of side effects. CJC-1295 can be taken in 100 mcg doses three times a day, making it a 300 mcg dose.
  • CJC-1295 DAC: The starting saturation dose for CJC-1295 DAC is 100 mcg taken two times a week. It is recommended to take CJC-1295 DAC of 100 mcg into a single injection. However, the dose can be given twice a week to research subjects.

Are There Any Benefits Of One Peptide Over The Other?

Since both CJC-1295 and CJC-1295 DAC have the same effects on the body, including antiaging effects, burning fat, building muscle, and improving sleep. But honestly, it is your personal choice on which peptide to consider. CJC-1295 DAC causes an elongation in the release of growth hormone. But it is not considered natural. In order to have a more natural effect, you should choose the peptide without DAC.

Which peptide version is better for you also depends on how many times a day you want to take the peptide. Without DAC, CJC-1295 is required to be taken in up to three doses, while CJC-1295 with DAC needs to be taken in a single dosage.

So, it is totally your decision to choose between CJC-1295 without DAC and CJC-1295 with DAC – both provide the same effects. There is no difference between these peptides because both offer the same advantages, including fat loss, increased muscular development, and faster healing.

The Bottom Lines

Whether you buy CJC-1295 with or without DAC from peptides.org their effects remain the same. The only difference between them is half-life. CJC-1295 DAC comes with an extended half-life of 6-8 eights. Since it has a longer half-life than CJC-1295 without DAC, it is required in doses of less frequency.

Genx Peptides have been providing quality peptides since 2013 and they are my current recommendation for peptides as they are licensed, use GMP facilites, product purity batch tested with 3rd party analysis.
