Is the process of content creation time consuming and difficult?
Chanell Huecker: I believe life is too short to not follow our true calling and creating has always been mine. Everything about the creative process, from start to finish, is my favorite. It’s incredibly fulfilling to see an idea, no matter how big or small, transform into something magical. I truly love it all.
Some days can feel more challenging than others. When I experience days that feel a little bit more taxing, I see it as my body alerting me to slow things down. Additionally, I always aim to maintain a healthy balance between work and my personal life, so honoring the boundaries I have created for myself can really help put things into perspective anytime I feel overwhelmed.
Being an influencer and content creator, the journey must not be easy for you, did you face any hurdles along your journey?
Chanell Huecker: Whether you are in the creative industry or not, I think it’s fair to say everyone goes through hurdles of some kind in their career. I have definitely faced some challenges, but I wholeheartedly believe they have helped shape me into who I am today.
When I started this journey over 15 years ago, I struggled with consistency. I believe consistency is one of the most important factors when it comes to success and while I have always known it, I struggled to maintain it early into my career because my focus wasn’t completely narrowed in on creating content. I prioritized my education and focused on earning my degree in college. For years, content creation was only a hobby for me.
At the start of 2022, decided to embrace it full time. It has been so special to reconnect with those who have been with me since the very beginning and build new connections through the content I share now.
What keeps you motivated as a creative?
Chanell Huecker: I find inspiration in everything around me – whether it is through music, scenery, jewelry or clothing pieces. If we go a step further and talk about who keeps me going, well, that’s an easy one: my dad and my husband, Brian.
The community I have grown with continues to inspire me, too. It makes my heart swell knowing we share an abundance of joy and laughter through what I create.
What do you love about your work?
Chanell Huecker: I love that I feel joy throughout the entire creative process. I am exceedingly passionate about my craft and I always ensure my heart is fully immersed from start to finish when creating content. I never share content on a whim or when it is half baked. What I put out to the world represents who I am and I always strive to be warm, kind, and fun. It’s one of the most rewarding feelings to see something you have created bloom into something you and your audience can treasure.
Tell us a bit about your achievements as a content creator
Chanell Huecker: I’ve hit some incredible milestones on both Instagram and TikTok, all beyond my wildest dreams.
On TikTok, my first viral video amassed over 10 million views. Within a month, I had over 100,000 accounts following me. Since then, I have had a handful of content with a reach of over 1 million views. On Instagram, I hit 25,000 followers within a few months of my launch. Lately, I have been loving how much I have learned from other creatives simply through networking.
I never believed I would ever achieve all of these incredible milestones, yet alone so quickly, but every day I am grateful for having a supportive and encouraging community. These milestones are absolutely important to me because it has always been done organically and I attribute so much of my success to my audience and those who believe in me.
