Car Fluids: Importance And Types

Most of us do not pay attention to the inner parts of our car and in reality, those are the parts which allow smooth functioning of your car. We tend to work on keeping our car beautiful from the outside, but nobody bothers to consider the inside of the same. Well, this negligence might lead to costly repair and replacements in future and in order to avoid that it is necessary to ensure the good wellbeing of the inside of your vehicle.

Car fluids prove to be very useful when it comes to the interior maintenance of the car. These fluids ensure the smooth functioning of your vehicle. We tend to avoid the inside condition of our car until it becomes noticeable and ceases to work. If you want your vehicle to function smoothly in the long run then you have to follow a strict maintenance procedure so as to be certain of that.

For the parts of your car to work properly, they demand care and nothing is more appropriate than car fluids to ensure the same. Maintaining the required amount of fluids enhances the productivity of your vehicle and cuts down the repair costs. Hence, they are more than essential for the proper functioning of your car.

Below given are some types of car fluids:

Brake fluid:

  • Brake fluid as the name says is the fluid designed to keep your brakes in place. The brake system of our car is hydraulic and it depends upon the fluids to create pressure for your car to stop. That’s why brake fluids are more than necessary to ensure that, since it a question of our safety.
  • Our brake system is a closed-off network, so if the presence of brake fluid constantly keeps on decreasing then soon, the brakes would require placement which would be obviously costly. So if you want to avoid unnecessary placement expenditure then make sure to keep the right amount of brake fluid content in your car.

Engine oil:

  • The only way you can ensure your car in a good position is by keeping the required amount of oils in place. Engine oil is certainly a critical fluid as it ensures the engine and all the working parts present in it clean and well lubricated.
  • Be sure to check your engine oil regularly because the smooth working of engine implies smooth working of your car. And if you notice that any changing of oils is required then do the needful.

Coolant:

  • Coolant is basically a fluid used to keep the engine cool. It is made up of water and antifreeze which is stored in the radiator to ensure the engine in a cool position. The moment your car is cool pop the hood and lift the radiator cap, a clear line should be seen and that means your coolant is appropriate if you do not see so then it means your level of coolant is low.
  • It is necessary to maintain a regular check on the coolant though it does not require to be changed before at least two to three years but there’s no harm in keeping an eye on it. After all it’s your car and its maintenance lies in your hands.
