According to English (US) English (UK) language, “boolin” can occasionally mean hanging out or frightening (relaxing) but it is not a frequent saying (I have never really seen/heard someone use it).
There’s also”boolean” that is phonetically similar and explains a variable/value which may be either false or true.
What is the origin of the term
As mentioned earlier, the term is made-up by non-other compared to mostly African American gangs (organisation).
The theory behind the invention of the word is that the gang name Blood begins with a B along with their rivals’ title (Crips) starts using a C, therefore using this logic, any word that begins with (or contains) the letter C can be swapped.
This is to demonstrate superiority to their rival street gang the Crips, the term slang word Coolin’ has been changed to Boolin’.
The very first mention of this word on the internet was in 2005 when the explation/meaning was uploaded into the website Urban Dictionary.
What is the spread of the term
Offer its origin of Boolin, the term was mostly used on the roads initially for a form of identification for fellow gang members.
With the growth of technology and the rise in the number of folks using Twitter, it has begun appearing more and more after 2015. Its usage is not that widely used online.
