I am so fortunate to be exposed to kitchen work by my parents at an early age. Even though I may not be the best when it comes to preparing exceptional and most delicious meals. However, I’m fully proud to say that I’m fairly comfortable in experimenting and even recreating dishes for my family.

Cooking has now turned into an easy task and even fun to me as a lady and I think it’s a valuable skill to pass on to your kids as I am currently doing.

The benefits of having kitchen skills

Beside building the morale of a person in the kitchen, possessing a good set of kitchen skills brings many benefits to a person.

Personally, knowing how to cook has been of help to me throughout my life. Whilst I was on campus, I found out that most of my other female colleagues who were not having kitchen skills spent lots of money on buying cooked food. Others also hired cooks to prepare food for them. I used the little skills I had, prepared, and sold food on campus which helped me to save more money. Now, I run 2 big restaurants which I am planning on opening more branches in addition.

I find kitchen work to be relaxing. The cutting, slicing, and chopping involved in preparing the ingredients for our meal is a good way for me to take a break from my usual routine. As such, I consider it to be a good stress reliever.

Furthermore, being able to prepare your food using fresh ingredients is a lot healthier than, say, takeaway food. Not only that, you can eat your favorite food items anytime you want to if you know how to cook them.

Children always feel so excited to be involved in the kitchen when preparing dishes for the family. I see it to be a great opportunity for collaborative parenting and co-creation to help boost their self-confidence level. Some light kitchen work will also aid in the development of their motor skills and coordination.

This game invites you to make Holland Oats, a Krabby Patty, Sushi Dushi, a Kelp Shake, donuts, avocado toast, sponge cake, Love Muffins, Hudson’s Juice Blend, and steak & potatoes. This game teaches children how to slice food, mixing ingredients, and timing cooking meals.
