Best 6 alternatives of Tiktok in 2021

It is not the first app on the list but we should give it credit for being one of the most popular apps in the first week of its launch.

Nowadays according to a survey conducted on Apkshelf, snake video is the best alternative to Tiktok

Immediately after launching its app TikTok, the US-based TikTok app went viral and was able to grab the attention of the youth.

The app was downloaded by over 500 million users in the first seven days of its launch and has over 200 million users.

The app, which is available for free on iOS and Android, allows users to create and share short videos, which are usually performed to the beats of music.

TikTok, which is short for “video intaglio,” was launched in China in 2016 by ByteDance, the company behind other apps such as the news-aggregating app Jinri Toutiao and the Toutiao news app.

It has caught on fast and has been the top app in the free apps category and the third-most-popular overall after Facebook and YouTube. It’s definitely a force to be reckoned with.

TikTok is, however, not the first app in the list of “popular” apps which I am going to describe in 2021. All these apps were available in the first week of their launch.

Alternatives of TikTok

1. Snake Video

Snake Video is similar to TikTok but can be classified as a one-minute version of it. The app allows users to record any kind of footage and share it on the app. It requires a 10MB mobile data plan.

The app is ideal for users who can’t be bothered to choose the right beat, it offers a decent amount of editing features. The mobile data usage is also better as compared to the TikTok app.

2. Biggo Live

Biggo Live is a curated music video app created by lifestyle app Infogene. It lets users shoot and edit videos from their phones and share them directly on the app without having to rely on a third-party video uploading app such as TikTok.

The app was launched on August 20, 2017, and was available on both Android and iOS platforms.

The app offers features like playback control, chat, creating a playlist, and downloading. The app can also stream the content straight from YouTube and repost videos.

The app is simple and the interface is intuitive. The major limitation of the app is that it doesn’t let users monetize their videos. The top users on the app can create a profile, generate a monthly income, and build up a following.

3. Dubsmash

Dubsmash is an online video-sharing app that works on similar lines to TikTok. The app allows users to take videos or a live stream and mash up different popular clips.

The app works best for those who like to make lip-syncing videos on top of popular music and lyrics. You can also create a tagline in the videos. The app has a lot of features that are similar to TikTok but with a lot of additional features.

4. Triller

Triller, the USP of the app is the ease of use and the simplicity of the interface. You can create your own videos using the different filters or frames and videos.

The app works for users who love experimenting with editing tools, audio, animation, sound effects, and the use of background music. There are several filters and editing tools that can be used to create your own “video intaglio.”

5. Likee

Unlike TikTok, Likee was launched in 2012 as a music-sharing app. The app provides users with easy-to-use tools that allow them to create and share short music clips. The app also lets users watch music videos or browse the top 10 most viewed videos on the app.

Similar to the other apps in this list, Likee also has a monetization platform that allows users to set a price for their music clips or videos.

6. Byte

A byte is a fast-growing music video app that allows users to make short videos and share them on the social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.

You can add multiple music tracks to your videos and it has a camera feature for recording videos. It has a desktop app as well.

The app is owned by Byte Studios, a video, and music-sharing social media company that operates Byte.com, Byte.ly, Byte Plus, and Byte-in-Play.
