All You Need to Know about Mobile Proxies: How They Work & How to Use Them

Living in the 21st century, the usage of technology has surpassed all records. With more than 5.27 billion mobile users, mobile usage is increasing at a rate of 2.3% every year. We can only imagine the number of people on the internet and the vulnerability of the network system.

The internet is growing increasingly vulnerable to security breaches as technology advances. The privacy concern on the internet has been increasing lately.

Many business and personal information get lost or misused on the internet due to security breaches. All these have resulted in the use of fineproxy servers in recent years.

What Are “Mobile Proxies”?

Despite increasing security breaches, many people are still unaware of what proxies are. Proxies are the firewall and also the filter which separates the end-user from a network.

Proxies were not considered legal in the past. Now they are legal. They have various uses now like setting up a support system, protecting internet contents, remote work, etc.

Mobile proxies are like a shield that acts as an extra layer of protection to your internet usage. When you are googling on the internet or posting something online, you are connecting directly with the server.

This also means that all the information related to your IP address will be accessible and visible to the website you’re connecting with.

One important reason for using proxies is to bypass the geographical restrictions. One such limitation can be overcome by using ISP proxies. These types of proxies give you access to any location and the access to surf the internet in real-time.

Suppose you are from the UK and you want to access a site from Australia. But you do not have access to that site. But if you have a mobile proxy you can easily access the sites which were normally blocked.

When you’re using a mobile proxy, it will act as the intermediary between your IP address and the webserver. It protects your personal information by disguising your IP addresses and routing data via their IP addresses.

Then the replies from the websites are being sent to you by the proxy server address.

This use of proxies is widely used by various companies in today’s time. Companies use proxies for many reasons like balancing the internet traffic, preventing server crashes, etc.

How Do They Work?

Mobile proxies are portable devices like smartphones or even a tablet that has access to the internet with a 3G or a 4G sim. Substituting the real address with the IP address of the mobile proxy server that you are accessing is how the masking happens.

The internet connectivity for these devices is either a 3G or 4G connection. The ISP assigns them to certain devices (internet service provider).

The IP address provided by the mobile proxies is real because they do not work for unused or lost addresses. They only work for devices that have real people and that can provide real IP addresses.

They switch between different mobile IP addresses which results in diverting the traffic.

Another advantage of using mobile proxies is that they change each time you refresh a page. Which prohibits the use of a single IP address for a prolonged time.

Suppose a website blocks you, this will result in Google flagging your website. Using a mobile proxy will result in removing the blocker in seconds. As it will change your mobile’s IP address once you refresh your page.

The cycle of proxy assignment occurs by re-assigning one IP address to other clients each time the website gets refreshed.

Like residential proxies is one example there are other kinds of proxies too. There is a total of twelve types of proxies

  • Forward proxies
  • Transparent proxies
  • Anonymous proxies
  • High Anonymity proxies
  • Distorting proxies
  • Datacenter proxies
  • Residential proxies
  • Public proxies
  • Shared proxies
  • SSL proxies
  • Rotating proxies
  • Reverse Proxies

The two types of mobile proxies 3G and 4G are very similar to mobile networks. As the name suggests the 4G proxy service is faster and more efficient than its precursors.

These proxies are virtual and are web-based. We connect to them when surfing the internet for security and other benefits. To connect to a 3G mobile proxy server all you need is a 3G sim, a 3G data coverage locality, and a mobile supporting the 3G network.

Mobile proxies are different from regular proxies. Mobile proxies enjoy more trust levels than regular ones. A classic example of the difference is the CAPTCHA verification on many websites. If you are using mobile proxies you do not have to do CAPTCHA verification.

Why Do We Need Mobile Proxies?

The main reason for using mobile proxies is to secure our own data which are available on the internet. Mobile proxies help us not get flagged by Google or blocked by a website.

Another selling point of mobile proxies is the fat connection it comes with. In this age of “No waiting” mantra, this feature is priceless.

There are some items on the web that will be more effective to do with the usage of a proxy-

  • When you are purchasing something from the internet using Bots
  • Using more than once social media accounts
  • Web scraping, etc.

If you are using a mobile proxy you will save from the “Accept all cookies” option when visiting any website. The web user interface will be fast and more effective as no caches will be there to slow down the surfing process.

The risk of a cybercrime attack will be much lesser when using a mobile proxy service.

Conclusion

Even though mobile proxies are not so common, these proxy services play a huge role in the corporate world. Many large corporations use mobile proxies to protect data and prevent security breaches.

Social media management is also seeing a surge in the usage of mobile proxies to remain anonymous on the web.

The use of mobile proxies if done perfectly can safeguard and can make the internet a much safer place.
