Proof of enrolment in a Turkish institution must be submitted additionally if you want a student visa. Family unification is also a valid purpose if you can prove that your family members are living in Turkey.

You will also get it if you own an immovable property in another country. The validity of short-term residence permits depends on how long it takes you to fulfil your purpose. Expect a maximum of 5 years allowed in the country.
