Batman is one of the most popular comic book characters of all time. Batman was created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger and was first published by DC Comics in the 27th issue of the comic book Detective Comics on March 30, 1939. After its debut, Batman was loved by many even today, who doesn’t love an eccentric billionaire, playboy who leads a double life by fighting crime at night dressed as a bat. Bruce Wayne is the owner of the multibillion-dollar Wayne enterprises and uses a lot of different bat suits and gadgets to fight crime. One of the base reasons for Batman being so popular is that he is the most realistic superhero there is. He alongside his wealth has trained himself a lot of different fighting styles to fight crime. Batman is known by many names such as The Dark Knight, Caped Crusader, and the Masked Vigilante. Here are some weird facts about the billionaire playboy, the Gotham’s Dark Knight:

 

Batman used to kill people:

Apart from Batman being a violent vigilante, Batman has a moral code and his number one rule is a no-killing rule. According to batman, “If you kill a killer… the number of killers in the world remains the same”. Well in the beginning, at the rise of the masked vigilante, Batman used to kill people. Yes, the caped crusader used to kill people in a lot of ways starting from breaking people’s necks by his karate kicks to throwing them into acid vats and seeing them burned alive. He even used to hang people to death from his Batplane.

Bruce Wayne comes from real-life heroes:

The name Bruce Wayne is derived from two real-life heroes. Bruce Wayne is basically a combination of the famous Scottish national hero Robert The Bruce and an American Revolutionary Hero named Mad Anthony Wayne.

 

The inspiration behind Batman’s creation:

The inspiration behind Batman’s creation is rather creative. The creation of Batman was inspired by Dracula, The Zorro, and the Shadow.

 

Batman carries a smoke bomb in his tooth:

The Dark Knight carries a smoke bomb in his tooth. He even used it on several occasions to create a diversion and escape from his enemies. 

 

Batman’s bat symbol:

The Caped crusader melted the gun that killed his parents and inspired him to be the crime-fighting vigilante into his bat symbol on his chest. In Detective Comic #1000, Batman is shown melting down the gun that killed his parents and adding it beneath the bat symbol as armor to protect his heart. 

 

The Science of Batman:

There is a real course named “The Science of Batman” at the University of Victoria in Canada. This course explored the extreme range of adaptability of the human body explored through the life of the Masked Vigilante.

 

The God of Knowledge:

Batman once sat and adapted the Mobius chair and became the God of Knowledge.

 

Batman saving his parents:

The Caped Crusader once traveled back in time and saved his parents from getting killed. Henceforth, doing this removed him from the entire existence. 

 

The Red Death:

The Masked Vigilante once became obsessed with the speed force. In earth-52, the batman bested flash and absorbed all his powers, and became “The Red Death”. An evil version of the Flash infused Batman.
