8 Tips To Lower Stress As Soon As You Wake Up!

Are you struggling to live your best life? If so, you’re not alone.

After all, the world can feel like a crazy place sometimes. People are busier than ever, there’s never enough hours in the day to do everything that needs to get done, and every moment of the day is filled with stress.

Fortunately, you’ve come to the right place for help. This article takes a look at tips for reducing stress. Keep reading to get the inside scoop on improving your health by developing a stress-free morning routine.

     1. Get Up Early

None everyone considers themselves to be a morning person. After all, it can be hard to get out of bed in the morning and hit the ground running, especially if you have to wake up when it’s still dark outside.

And yet getting up early is one of the best things you can do for both your mental and physical health. This is especially true when combined with an early bedtime.

Getting up early helps you attack the day and get ahead of everything that needs to be accomplished. This provides a feeling of power and control. Because while sleeping in might feel good at the moment, you’re actually missing out on important hours of the day.

There’s also tremendous value in fighting against your mind’s natural resistance. In other words, when you push through your mind’s desire to stay in bed, this willpower creates a forward momentum that will continue to build even as you face bigger challenges throughout your busy schedule.

     2. Set Goals for the Day

It’s also crucial to set goals. The key is to plan your schedule for your day the night before so that you have a structure for the day.

Goals are very powerful. Perhaps your first goal for your week is to wake up at 5:30 am every morning. This provides a great starting point. Consistently accomplishing this goal will allow you to check off a box first thing when you wake up.

Perhaps your second goal of the day is to skip breakfast and take a walk. These are easy goals, and yet you’ll suddenly feel energized.

Create a list of small goals that can be easily checked off throughout the day. This will help create a pattern for your life that will inspire you to keep going and to set more challenging goals for the future. Soon you’ll discover that you have the power to accomplish anything you set your mind to.

     3. Create a Wake-Up Playlist

Do you love to wake up to music? This is actually a great idea.

Choosing the perfect wake-up playlist is the perfect way to clear your head, get your heart pumping, and get inspired to get out of bed so that you can start being productive. The key is to select songs that will make you feel energized and put a smile on your face.

For most people, upbeat music is best. Or you might opt for classic music or inspirational songs.

Remember, everyone is different, thus what appeals to you won’t necessarily be the right choice for someone else. Just have fun with your music. Spend time cultivating your list to include wake-up songs, breakfast songs, and workout songs. And continually switch up your songs so that every day and every week offers a new variety.

     4. Get Some Exercise

One of the best ways to improve your morning routine is to include exercise. If you’re like most people, this can be extremely challenging. After all, the last thing you want to do when you crawl out of bed is to hop on the treadmill and start sweating.

And yet once you get moving, you’ll feel amazing.

In fact, exercising first thing in the morning is significantly beneficial for your physical and mental health. This is a great time of day for clearing your head, contemplating the day ahead, organizing your thoughts.

Keep in mind that you don’t have to spend hours at the gym the minute you wake up. The goal is to push past the natural impulse to stay in bed. Perhaps do some pushup the instant you climb out from warm sheets. Or do some jumping jacks. The key is to get your blood pumping and burn calories so that your mind and body both realize it’s time to wake up and get going.

     5. Go Outside

There’s really nothing better than fresh air first thing in the morning. Going outside immediately after waking up will help you engage with life and fill your lungs with morning air.

Make some coffee and stand on the patio. Watch the sunrise. Breathe deeply. All of these things will help you develop and positive attitude and remind you how fortunate you are to be alive.

     6. Practice Yoga

Have you discovered yoga? If not, this is a great way to engage your mind and body.

Practicing yoga first thing in the morning will help you wake up, focus your mind, and limber up your body before heading off to work or school. It’s no secret that yoga is one of the healthiest forms of physical activity. And yet many people still haven’t learned to take advantage of all the benefits it has to offer.

Fortunately, you don’t need to buy a ton of expensive equipment to practice yoga. In fact, all you really need is a simple yoga mat that you can place on the floor anywhere in your home. Then you just need to choose a handful of yoga poses to practice as you enjoy the warmth of the sunrise through the window.

     7. Meditate

Meditation is one of the most powerful tools available for discovering peace and eliminating stress. This simple practice can be performed anywhere, and all you have to do is close your eyes and clear your thoughts.

     8. Develop an Attitude of Gratitude

Believe it or not, a little gratitude goes a long way. Being thankful for your life and all you’ve been given opens up your heart and helps you see the good in the world, which is great for reducing the amount of stress you experience throughout the day.
