When people first discover all of the benefits that cannabidiol (CBD) can bring to their lives, most people have a lot of questions. Two of the most common questions beginners to CBD have are, “Is shipping CBD flower legal?”, and “How can I ingest CBD to get the most benefits?”

Get the answers to those questions and more below.

Is CBD Legal in the United States?

Federally speaking, yes, though it’s a bit more complicated than that. The production and consumption of CBD are legal at the federal level; however, some individual states still have not legalized CBD. Idaho, Iowa, Nebraska, and North Dakota all have limitations or bans on CBD.

As a result, you can use and receive CBD products in the mail unless you live in one of those states. Because more and more people are recognizing the benefits that CBD can give, there has been a noticeable shift in acceptance toward CBD in recent years. Hopefully, someday soon, residents of the above states will be able to consume CBD products legally.

What is CBD Flower?

CBD flower comes from the Cannabis sativa flower. This plant’s concentration of (tetrahydrocannabinol) THC, the compound that gives cannabis users a “high”, of less than 0.3%. This flower can be grown indoors or outdoors, and some plants can have a concentration of CBD of up to 25%. It can take up to 13 weeks for a CBD flower to reach its peak concentration, and once it does, it is harvested and processed for purchase and consumption.

How is CBD Flower ingested?

Some of the most common ways to ingest CBD flowers include smoking, vaping, and eating CBD products, though there are several other methods too! Each form of CBD comes with its own pros and cons, and trying a variety of products can help you determine which ones are right for you.

1. Smoking CBD Flower

You can smoke CBD flower in the same way you can smoke other cannabis products. Smoking CBD flower allows you to feel the effects of the CBD much more quickly than other methods, though the effects can also wear off earlier too.

This method works great for people seeking immediate relief from pain or anxiety and wanting a stronger CBD effect.

2. Vaping CBD Flower

If you would rather inhale vapor instead of smoke, vaping CBD flower is a great option. Vaping can also give you the CBD effects quickly without giving off the same odors smoking flower can. Vaping may also give you an even stronger effect than smoking, as vapor is better able to penetrate your lungs than smoke.

3. Eating CBD Flower

Eating CBD flower is another great way to feel the effects of CBD, though it may require more work on your part. You can’t just eat the dried flowers and feel the effects, as CBD only works after undergoing heat. If you want to get the effects of CBD from an edible, you can simmer your CBD flower in a fat, like oil or butter, that you can then put into a food of your choice.

Many people opt to add this CBD mixture to desserts and baked goods, but there is plenty of room for you to get creative!

In Conclusion

Purchasing CBD flower from a trusted manufacturer can give you a wide variety of ingestion options. All methods can provide several benefits, like relief from stress, pain, and a reduced appetite, so it all comes down to preference. Some may prefer the effects smoking CBD flower can bring, while others may favor consuming it in edible form after cooking or vaping their buds.
