3 Delicious meals you can make with your child on a Sunday

Cooking is something that attracts children greatly. In fact, there is huge popularity of online programs and hobby classes like fireless cooking for kids which is offered at Yellow Class. There are numerous easy recipes for kids that you can whip up together when you have the time as well. This will go a long way towards encouraging them to pursue their interest in cooking and develop their culinary skills from a very early age. 

Here are recipes that are a must-try- 

  1. Devilled Egg Chicken- 

You will require ingredients like 12 big eggs, two tablespoons of Dijon mustard, ½ a cup of mayonnaise, ¼ cup of parmesan cheese that is neatly grated, 24 capers, 3 slices of carrots and fresh dill. The cooking method is quite simple indeed. Put the eggs in a saucepan and with ample water to easily submerge them. Bring the water to a boil and then cover with the lid while removing the heat likewise. Leave eggs to cook within the saucepan for about 12 minutes. Cool before peeling. Slice a little of the bottom portion to help the egg remain absolutely upright. Cut off the top third of the egg, keeping the lid. Remove yolks gently before putting them in a medium bowl. Add mayonnaise Parmesan and mustard to your egg yolk and mix neatly until it turns smooth. Transfer the yolk mixture to a zip-lock bag/pouch. Cut a smaller hole in the bag’s corner and pipe the entire mixture back into the eggs which are hollowed out. Fill up the egg till an additional inch above the rim. Cut the carrot into smaller triangles. Put capers in place of eyes and use the carrot as a beak alongside. Top off the yolk face with the lid of the egg white that was previously removed. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours and while serving, use dill to line the platters. Arrange the chicks with care on the top, creating an innovative look. 

2. Mini Pepper Pizza-

The ingredients are four bell peppers, cored and halved, a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil, Kosher salt, freshly ground black pepper, ½ c. of pizza sauce, ½ c. of finely grated Parmesan cheese, 2c of shredded mustards, 1/3 c. of mini pepperoni and a tablespoon of chopped parsley. Get the oven preheated till 350 degrees and drizzle peppers with olive oil on a sheet tray before seasoning with pepper and salt alike. Spoon the sauce onto every pepper half. Sprinkle this with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese while topping off with pepperoni. Bake for about 10-15 minutes until peppers turn crisp and tender while the cheese gets melted. Garnishing is a must with parsley prior to serving. 

3. Tomato Butter Spaghetti-

The ingredients are a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil, Kosher salt, a chopped onion, freshly ground black pepper, 3 lb. of freshly chopped tomatoes, two cloves of minced garlic, a tablespoon of dried oregano, 8 oz. of cooked spaghetti, four tablespoons of butter and ¼ c. of cooked spaghetti. You will also require torn and fresh basil leaves along with finely grated Parmesan cheese for serving purposes. Heat oil over medium heat in a big skillet. Put onions and season with pepper and salt. Sauté till it starts softening, stir garlic and cook for 1 minute until you get the fragrance. Add in tomatoes and keep stirring. Continue cooking over medium heat until the tomatoes start breaking down. At simmering point, lower heat and stir butter while seasoning with pepper and salt again. Add in some oregano and simmer for roughly 15 minutes. Taste and season as per your needs. Serve with cooked pasta while topping off with Parmesan cheese and basil.
