Testosterone is a male hormone secreted by the adrenal glands in both men and women, but in greater quantities in men. Good testosterone levels are associated with sexual performance, reproductive function, maintenance of muscle mass and hair growth. Here are 10 foods that boost testosterone. You can read more at https://viasilavis.fr

The Egg

The egg is a testosterone booster!

Omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin D, cholesterol and the proteins they contain are all essential for testosterone production.

Egg yolk also contains zinc, a nutrient that participates in the synthesis of testosterone.

The Pomegranate

A study of 58 volunteers aged 21 to 64 years showed that drinking a glass of pomegranate juice a day is associated with an increase in testosterone levels of 16 to 30%!

Although it’s only a small study, it’s worth testing!

The Avocado

Avocado contains vitamin B6, potassium and zinc, three of the substances known for their testosterone-boosting effect.

On the other hand, the oleic acid present in the avocado acts favourably on lowering “bad cholesterol” (LDL) and raising “good cholesterol” (HDL), a factor conducive to increasing testosterone levels.

Beef

Beef consumption has positive effects on testosterone levels.

Very rich in proteins, zinc and saturated fatty acids, it optimizes testosterone levels in the body.

Conversely, a meat-free diet can lower testosterone levels.

Garlic

Consumed raw, garlic contributes to a good level of testosterone.

Its allicin content could be responsible for stimulating the release of the hormone LH, which increases the circulation of testosterone.

So much for breath!

Oysters

The testosterone-boosting effect of oysters lies in their very high zinc content.

Indeed, zinc is involved in more than 300 chemical reactions in the body and helps to raise testosterone levels.

Oysters are also an excellent source of vitamin B12 and omega 3, whose low levels are associated with low testosterone levels.

Ginger

Ginger is said to derive its reputation as an aphrodisiac from the impact it has on testosterone levels.

On the other hand, it would be necessary to consume it regularly to know its effects. You should therefore not be put off by its particular taste!

Tuna

It is thanks to its high selenium content that tuna has positive effects on our testosterone.

Tuna is also very rich in vitamin D and omega-3, two elements that stimulate testosterone production.

Oats

Like tuna, oatmeal is rich in vitamin D, which is good for testosterone levels.

On the other hand, this cereal contains a compound called avenacoside, which would allow testosterone to circulate more freely through our bodies (by reducing the levels of another hormone).

Crucifers

Cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, broccoli… Cruciferous plants stimulate testosterone production.

In fact, they contain a phytonutrient called indole -3-carbinol (IC3), which has a positive effect on testosterone by reducing the activity of an enzyme that converts free testosterone into estrogen (the female hormone).
