It’s not just about food, it’s about the way you prepare it. The best chefs know how to make a dish look impressive, yet taste like nothing special.
But when you’re on the hunt for a new restaurant, how do you know which dishes are worth your time in a restaurant in Sorrento? Here are three dishes that every diner should order at least once:
- Chef’s Salad (or Caesar)
This classic salad is often made with romaine lettuce, but you can swap it out for mixed greens if you’d like. It’s topped with croutons and Parmesan cheese and then drizzled with a creamy dressing — usually some kind of Caesar dressing, or maybe something similar like ranch or bleu cheese dressing.
The trick to making this salad great is to pair it with something crunchy — the more croutons you pile on top of each other, the better your salad will be! I recommend adding some bacon bits and olives for extra flavor too!
- The Classic Burger
The classic burger is a staple in any restaurant and can be found at nearly any price range. This relatively simple dish is made with a beef patty, onion rings and lettuce. The best way to enjoy this classic is to order it without the bun and without cheese (or with cheese if you like it). If you want to add some extra flavor to your burger, try adding ketchup or mustard.
Another classic dish that you can eat anywhere is nachos! These chips are loaded with cheese, sour cream and guacamole so they’re not just delicious but also nutritious! To make your nachos healthier, simply swap out some of the chips for whole-wheat tortilla chips or replace some of the cheese with jack cheese or goat cheese.
- Fish & Chips
This is another favorite meal that you can find at almost any restaurant! Fish & chips consist of fried fish coated in batter that’s been dusted with salt and pepper before being served alongside fries and tartar sauce for dipping!
- The Veggie Burger (Vegan)
This is one of my favorite foods to order when I’m out with friends or family. It’s a great way to try something new, and it’s super tasty! You can make your own at home, too!
- The Fish Tacos (Vegetarian)
Fish tacos are a great choice for any meal, but they’re especially delicious when they’re made with tilapia or salmon. They’re also easy on the wallet because you don’t have to pay for expensive fish filets!
- The Veggie Stir Fry (Vegetarian)
Stir fries are a great choice for any meal — but especially when it comes to lunch or dinner. They’re not only nutritious and filling, but they’re also easy to make and look pretty fancy!
- Get the Crispy Duck Sandwich
It’s a staple at just about any Chinese restaurant, but if you’re looking for an alternative to the usual duck dish, head to your favorite Chinese joint and try their fried duck breast sandwich. It’s crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. And if you want to amp up your meal, add some egg fries or wonton soup!
- Have a Dumpling Party!
Every time you visit your favorite Chinese restaurant, ask for a sampler plate of dumplings. There are so many types of dumplings to try — pork and shrimp, chicken and veggies — it can be overwhelming! But once you have a taste of each kind, it will be hard to stop eating them! Plus, they make a great little appetizer when enjoying dinner out with friends or family.
- Enjoy Fried Rice with Seafood!
If you love Chinese food but don’t want to eat too much rice (or want something lighter), order fried rice with seafood instead of meatballs or beef brisket (both popular options).
